Good Evening Everyone…..

     I haven’t written in…15 days…oh HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY!…I’m kinda tired.  I made dinner tonight.  I actually made two dinners.  I made ground turkey with rosemary garlic and old bay seasoning with whole wheat rotini noodles…it was ok.  I also made baked chicken and barbecue chicken.  I didn’t try that…I’ll probably have it tomorrow for lunch. 

   Oh, I’m on weight watchers now…I’ve lost 2.8 pounds so far…(that was the first week)…I’m shooting for 5 pounds next Monday….I just have to start exercising.  There’s this one lady in the WW meetings that is so flippin annoying!…she’s so loud and obnoxious….The people go to the meetings with all these layers and they start strippin when it’s time to weigh in….the woman im speaking of was bra-less last night…EWW….some things just aren’t meant for the general public!  Then there’s this other lady that always talks about herself and how good she is doing and what she did to do so well…it’s like oh Gag me!…..LOL…i sound like a hater…I AM!!!!!..lol…wait till yall see me 40-50 pounds lighter…ima act BRAND NEW!!!…lollolololol

    So, I have 5 more classes until I finally graduate from good ole Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.  Wanna hear sumtin funny?….I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO TAKE!!!!!….crazy right?  yeah it is.  So after I graduate I’m thinking of applying to DYFS and getting a Master’s in Social Work and then I wanna go back to school to get a B.A. in Spanish for Interpretation and Translation….ideal job? Translator for the government….that would be hot….well that’s a dream job..not ideal…ideal would be a Social Worker for a hospital or school…..

    And now for la chose vous tout a attendu, por la cosa que ustedes han estado esperando, the thing you’ve all been waiting for…..well one of them….Afeni81….what is that?

    Well a good friend of mine has called me Afeni for as long as of known…..her/him (keepin it gangsta)….Because I am sooooo proud to be Black and would dream of being nothing but Black she/he felt that the name would be fitting.  For those of you who don’t know who Afeni is….she, Afeni Shakur was a important member of the Blank Panther Party.  That should be enough on why I chose her…but in case you desire more information…..she was Tupac’s momma….for more info….visit www.thetalkingdrum.comoh and 81…is for my birth year…which is a perfect segue tooooo…….

MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!! JANUARY 21,1981….GET READY YALL!!!!….LOLOLOLOLOL….I love my birthday…mainly because it’s a special day just for me……and this year i’m off work…thank you Dr. Martin Luther King Jr….LOl….

I’m going to Maryland to visit Ms. Young just like I do for all my bdays….I think i’m going to have a small family gathering at my Aunt’s house (Shout out to Aunt D!)…..I love being with my family they are so funny…everyone has such a personality….especially Jordan (shout out to Jordan roof roof)….he’s just like a person….I also want to go to the China Club in NYC on the 25th but i’m not sure….and then on the 26th I’m going to a Delta Sigma Theta Inc. Poetry Show….fun fun fun….ok peoples….I will talk to you later…and i will be accepting gifts….favorite color is purple, favorite stores are WalMart, New York and Company, and Macy’s….favorite pastime is the movies…lol i’m just kidding you don’t have to get me gifts….LOLOLOL…no but really….i like purple, walmart, new york and company, and macy’s…and going to the movies….LOLOLOL

Good Evening Everyone…..

I just got home from watching the record breaking football game at a friends house…..I was bored….this guy tried to talk to me but based on his appearance (baggy clothes, black lips, stank breath, and a 40 inside a brown bag) i was not interested.  He told me that his New Year’s ReVolution was to quit smoking for his daughters…..yes I said ReVolution….Atalia and I BOTH laughed at him.  He clearly did not have the lightbulb above his head…then on top of that I asked him if he drank alot…he said no…then he proceeded to tell his friend that he was tired of waking up drunk….liar!…..i’m done with liars!…..good game

So I took the weavusus out on Christmas night…I COULDN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!….it itched so badly that i wanted to rip off the tracks….I’ve decided that I will never do that again…but I’m pondering cutting my hair short to get all the unwanted blond highlights that just won’t disappear.  My hair, I must admit was looking Caraaaazy….when I got to the hair dresser…and this fat behemoth of a woman kept crackin on me….she was pissin me off….she was like you look a hot mess…bitch you look like a hot mess….atleast I’m not 45 with fire engine red hair tryin to front like i’m 25.  oooh she mad me mad.  And she just would not stop….and she’s mad boisterous and loud.  I wanted to tell her to Shut the F up…but I’m non-confrontational….wit her fat ass.  ok i’m sorry…Lord forgive me!

What did yall get for Christmas?  I got everything i wanted.  Gift Cards (Macy’s, Target, Bath and Body Works), a Magellan Maestro GPS, a ticket to Jill Scott’s concert, a book, a Prince DVD ( i love prince…yall ain’t know? best concert I’ve ever been to!), and a whooooole bunch of stuff from my Secret santa (roychelle) at work….too many to name…that’s my girl…she’s such a nice person!

The other night my family and I went to Pennsylvania to the Sight and Sound Theater to see the Miracle of Christmas..it was alright…it wasn’t as good as the other plays I have seen there….It was me, mommy, Aunt Debbie, Gramma, Chuck, and Chauny’ya…..it was a long one day and one night trip…..LOL…Chauny’ya wanted to sleep with me…never again!….she is a wild sleeper….i woke up and she was like another appendage attached to my back…..i pushed her over and she came right back…then i pushed her over again but too far and she almost fell off the bed…then she threw her arm over me (mind you this is all while she’s asleep) and she coughed and spit landed on my cheek….YUCK!…my mother claims I was the same way.  We also went shopping at the outlets…I got a pair of sandals that were originally 119.00 for 6 bucks….the store was going out of business…they’re nice too….

What are yall doing for New Year’s?…I’m going to church…and hopefully i’ll get into something after…but i’m not sure….you guys be careful out there!….

The countdown will soon begin for the big 2-7……my birthday is in 23 days….wooohooo…

Hello Everyone!

So I got the extensions put in my hair.  Do I like them?  I’m still on the fence.  They are about 3 inches longer than my actual hair length.  My hair hasn’t been this long since I was like 7.  I will probably cut them shorter next friday.  So hopefully you will get to see the “new” me before I get it chopped off. 

Today I did some XMAS shopping.  IDK what to get my mother for xmas….I think I have an idea for two small gifts but I’m not sure.  It seems like every time I get paid they are taking more and more out of my check.  Yes ppl some mysterious “they” is taking money out of my check.  I didn’t know I had to pay for my contract and for my njea dues and they take out summer savings (i’m a 10-month employee), and my pension….GEEESH!…I told mom today that I’m thinking of biting the bullet and following in everyone I know footsteps and working at DYFS.  I looked and they have jobs starting at 43….how can I pass that up, especially since I want to get my Master’s in Social Work.

I’m actually struggling with what I really want to do in life.  Right now I want to be either an aesthetician (facials, etc.) or a Massage Therapist.  I want to help people I just don’t know in what way.  I still want to own a Health Center.  Idk if you all know my ultimate plan so I’ll lay it out for you….I want to have a Health Center which would be comprised of different offices/areas for Nutritional Health (I’d have a Nutritionist), Mental Health (Psychologists, Therapists, etc.), and Financial Health (Financial Counselors, Accountants, etc.) I want to have one here in NJ, one in GA, and one in CA.  I want to do biiiig things.  I want to help my community….my people…my family…etc.

Hmmmm…what else could I say……errrr I guess nothing….Love you guys!…I’ll talk to you b4 XMAS I’m sure….look forward to a new post….. =)

Well now that we have overcome the technical difficulties my friends….you now are able to fully enjoy the lovely life of Queen Kia….LOL. 

Today was such a long day.  I’ve been shopping all day and I’m exhausted yet I’m up blogging and watching tv debating on whether I want ice cream.  You guys should go to Southern Smokehouse in Linden…it is AWESOME!!!! The food was so good it’s not even funny…but not as good as Sylvia’s in Harlem…gr8 place…when there with Mentiroso.  I want to add characters so you guys know who i’m talking about….but then again…maybe not…we shall see. 

I guess now would be a good time to tell you why I chose the name Afeni81….I got the name Afeni from a good friend…because I’m so Miss Black Pride, and 81 is of course the wonderful year that I was born in….aaaaah almost 27!!!  I can’t believe I’m almost 27.  I was telling Karasel that I don’t feel 27 I feel like 22 or 23….we are still young! hmmm….I decided to get some tracks put in my hair….I want some volume and a little length….my hair is so flaaat…

I was supposed to start my take home final today….but we didn’t get home til like 7 something after being out since 9 something…so i was tired….i could actually be doing it now…but…i’m not!….

Ok…i think i’m done…oh wait…what are you getting your mom…for XMAS? idk what to get Sherri.

Hello Everyone!

This is my official blog.  I started it thanks to Obie…I saw his and I was like wooow I want one!  The only difference is Obie pays for his…mine is free…so I don’t think I will be getting as many perks as Mr.Obie.  Aaaaaanyways…..I really don’t know what to say to you guys.   I plan to invite about 10-15 ppl to this blog all of which are my friends or family.

As you all know I work at Washington School as a One-On-One Assistant for a little girl with Spina bifida.  For those of you who don’t know what that is click on this link www.sbaa.org It’s really sad what this disease can do but the little girl i work with is just a ball full of energy and I love her to death!

Yesterday I went to Med-emerge because my back has been hurting me for 3 days.  It feels like someone is stabbing in my back with a serrated knife and then taking the knife and sliding it up and down my shoulder blades.  It’s unbearable.  So they gave me some muscle relaxers and a pain reliever and a prescription for Physical therapy….so far so good…no PT though.  It’s so funny going to the emergency room or med-emerge listening to the people next to you, especially when they think that the curtains are sound proof.  LOL!

Have you ever worked with someone that smokes aaaand drinks coffee?  I work with this woman…I won’t say who….she smokes, drinks coffee, and has a strooooong body odor that is just disgusting and on top of that she doesn’t wash her hands after using the bathroom…aaaand she has eczema on her hands….I know I know you’re saying…Kia..you have eczema…I know…but can you imagine how my skin would look if i didn’t wash????? yuck…oh and I think she’s a drunk too…either that or she’s had one rough life….can you tell I don’t particularly like her?

Hmmm….what else can I talk about?…what exactly are you supposed to talk about on a blog?…I just thought of something funny….I changed my dad’s contact info to Sperm Donor….LOLOLOL….ok you may not think it’s funny but I DO!!!!!

Alright it’s almost bed time…i want to eat some pie and ice cream…..i was doing so good going to the Personal Trainer…and now it’s all shot to S@#t…..
